基金会简介Shanghai Shutong Hadal Science and Technology Development Foundation

上海叔同深渊科学技术发展基金会（简称“深渊基金会”）成立于2014年12月，注册原始资金为人民币200万元，是经上海市民政局正式批准注册的非公募基金会，2018年，本基金会被认定为“慈善组织”的非公募基金会。2019年12月5日按章程规定按期进行了换届，有效期为2024年11月1日。英文译名为“Shanghai Shutong Hadal Science and Technology Development Foundation”。

基金会根据《章程》规定，以在中国开启民间捐资支持前沿科学技术发展的先河，凝聚社会各界力量，加快深渊科技的发展为工作宗旨。基金会业务范围接受捐赠, 资助、奖励深渊科学技术研究及其它相关领域的个人、团队和项目。

深渊科学和技术是海洋科学和技术领域的双前沿，其研究和探索对地球生态、气候、海洋环境保护、地球生命起源、地震预报等多个领域的研究均有十分重要的作用，对我国的海洋强国建设也有重要的支撑作用。深渊科学是一门专门研究深度从6500米至11000米的海洋学科。6500米深度是海洋的一条分界线，无论是生物特征、生态环境，还是地质地貌，6500米以下的深渊海沟与人类熟悉的广阔流动海洋截然不同。

鉴于深渊科学与技术对我国甚至全人类的重要意义，原“蛟龙”号总体与集成项目负责人和第一副总设计师崔维成教授，在上海海洋大学领导的大力支持下，创立了我国首个深渊科学技术研究中心，研发11000米载人潜水器和相关设备。为了使深渊团队的科研人员能够专心致志于技术攻关，故发起成立了深渊基金会。

深渊基金会的宗旨是“助力深渊科技，保护海洋环境”，旨在通过基金会搭建的公益平台，资助、奖励深渊科学技术研究及其它相关领域的个人、团队和项目，将深渊科学和技术领域的最新进展传递到社会各个阶层，提升广大人民群众的科学素养，促进海洋生态保护和人类可持续性发展。

hanghai Shutong Hadal Science and Technology Development Foundation (can be simply called Hadal Foundation) was approved by Domestic Business Bureau of Shanghai Municipal Government in December 2014. The mission of the Hadal Foundation is to promote hadal science and technology and to protect the ocean environment. It is a platform to receive some donations from those who concern the sustainability of the society. The fund is mainly used to support the researches focused in this area and award those who make great contributions to the progress of hadal science and technology. It will also be used to transfer the knowledge of the latest development of hadal science and technology to general public in order to enhance their scientific literacy and promote the marine ecological protection and sustainable development of human beings. The foundation was initiated by Professor Weicheng Cui and his several close friends. In order to keep it running, Professor Weicheng Cui monthly donates two-thirds of his salary from Shanghai Ocean University to the foundation. To move forward, Hadal Foundation needs more support and fund and you are welcome to join us.
